Mexican Coriander      |               Eryngium foetidum                     Umbelliferae

In Flower

A very close relative of the Sea Holly, it shares many of the structure and flowering characteristics.

Rarely growing higher than 30 cm though it is a little easier to keep.

The root is dug and added to soups and stews for it's mineral rich properties as well as the taste.

Some love and others hate it.

As a snake repellent.... we are not sure but we plant it around the garden just to be on the safe side.
